Call for Help before Chasing the Gentle Giants

One of the biggest challenges in elephant conservation is coexistence. Wildlife conscious and responsible future generation is one of our pathways to mitigate the challenge. With that view in mind, Arannayk Foundation's message is clear: when an elephant enters your settlement, keep a safe distance and call the Bangladesh Forest Department or your local Elephant Response Team — not chase them away.

Engaging Youths in Elephant Conservation

Conservation in Action

Planting the Habit of Protecting Forests

At Bandarban Government College, students and teachers took part in a Seedling Distribution and Tree Planting Campaign, each planting and taking home a seedling of their own.

Mapping Khagrachari's springs

Arannayk Foundation, with technical support from ICIMOD, completed a hydrogeological survey of 65 springs across 10 paras in Matiranga, Khagrachari, mapping spring sources, geology, and local water systems to guide springshed management and climate-resilient planning.

Reading the Land Before Restoring It

From 15–17 August, ICIMOD experts and the HI-CAS team visited four Bandarban communities to assess sites for solar energy, water intake, and agro-biodiversity research plots — groundwork for climate-adaptive approaches that make conservation and community livelihoods work together, not against each other.

Planting endangered species

Arannayk Foundation and the Bandarban District Administration planted 300 native seedlings at Meghla Parjatan Complex and Prantik Lake on 14 August, creating habitat for the region's endangered species.

Launching Big Cat protection project in Bandarban
