It's hard to believe that we're already four weeks into another school year, with students of all ages embracing fall through their works of art. For those who missed the first few weeks of fall classes, it's never too late to join us mid-term at a pro-rated fee! If you or your family member wish to join us this month, feel free to email or call the studio and we'll be happy to add you into one of our classes. It won't be long before our winter term schedule will be posted online, so check our Class Schedule throughout the month and register early to save a spot in the class that best fits your winter plans.
In addition to our weekly art classes, we're excited to have Sonia Halpern back at the studio this month to deliver a series of Art History Lectures. This fall, Sonia will dive into the subject matter that artists have consistently depicted throughout history. Universal themes such as landscapes, still-lifes, romantic love, motherhood, and war have prompted innumerable artists over many centuries to explore these topics over and over again. Our 6-part weekly lecture series will examine the various ways that artists have interpreted these subjects over the years and illuminate their ongoing allure for artists and the public alike. We hope you can join us on Mondays, October 5 to November 9, for Sonia's upcoming lecture series "Subject Matters!" Space is limited and advance registration is required.
Lastly, we're thrilled to be collaborating with Funvilla of London this month, as we host a fall-themed still-life painting session! If your artist is in elementary school this year, you can register online and join us for an art & play session at Funvilla this fall.
From our home to yours, we wish you and your family a colourful month of October!
