It's wild to say it, but we blinked and July came and went and here we are, entering into (yes, dare we say it) August! We know some of you might feel a little bittersweet, since August means summer is winding down… but not just yet at Agape Village! We've been rocking this summer with so much fun happening at our program, and if July was amazing, August is gearing up to be another fun-in-the-sun month for our clients.

We've got a lot going on, so let's get right into it, friends. Here's all the "tea" (that's what the kids say these days) on what's happening this month. Keep reading for all the deets!

☕ August Coffee Dates at Just Brew It

Mark your calendars and come grab a cup with us! Just Brew It will be open on the following dates this month, located on the patios behind Solita and The Stand at Valencia Town Center.

🌺 Drink of the Month:

Lulu's Blue Hawaiian Refresher

Blue curaçao syrup, sugar-free mermaid syrup, and 7UP Zero. One sip and you'll feel like you're soaking up the sun in Hawaii instead of Santa Clarita!

If you're new to Agape and our coffee shop: everything is donation-based because Just Brew It is part of our clients' job training program. They've learned to run this business from start to finish, and they are so proud to share it with our community. Come check it out! Great coffee, even better company!

🍋 Lemonade Brigade:

A Sweet Success

We had an incredible turnout for our lemonade stand, Just Squeeze It, benefiting our friends at RISE SCV! The lemonade was flowing, and the smiles and laughter from that day were priceless. We were thrilled to support RISE SCV's fundraising efforts, raising $422 thanks to our amazing community and we can't wait to be part of it again next summer!

✨ July Spotlights at Agape

Art Club:

We continue to have the best time in Art Club, which comes to Agape twice a month. It's a chance for our clients to express themselves and dive into whatever creative projects our art teachers have planned. The drawings and paintings that come together are always so much fun to see and if you've ever visited Agape, you've likely spotted their work displayed around the room!

Coffee with a Cop at Cinnabon:

This month, Coffee with a Cop was held at the Valencia Town Center food court, and we made a fun detour before morning groups to say hello to our friends from the SCV Sheriff's Department. Thank you to the SCV Sheriff's Department for hosting this monthly gathering. We look forward to it every time!

Summer Activities & Keeping Busy:

We packed July with awesome workouts at EoS Fitness, COC yoga and adaptive fitness classes, volunteering at Children's Hunger Fund, shopping days, a splash-filled visit to Splashability at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center, and wrapped up the month with a summer movie outing at Regal Valencia! No wonder the month flew by, between work, lessons, and all this fun, our clients stayed busy in the best way!

🌟 Looking Ahead: August at Agape

We're looking forward to another month of hard work, big smiles, and continued growth here at Agape Village.
