Hi {{ firstname }},
I want to share a simple shift that changed a lot for me.
When I struggled with toxic levels of stress, the first question I asked myself each day was, “What am I not looking forward to today?”
When I told my Coach this, they had a suggestion. Why not change the question to, “What am I looking forward to today?”
I know it may sound like a throwaway gesture, but it was amazing how much that one simple shift changed what I put my attention on at the start of each day, how I planned my day, and what my outlook was.
There was always something — and even if the big work thing of the day was something I wasn’t looking forward to, I could say I was looking forward to it being done and finished.
Experiment with this for yourself. For the next seven days, make this first question you ask yourself and notice what happens.
Wishing health and happiness to you,
Steve.
