Exciting News: Strategic Partnership Announcement

We are delighted to announce a new Strategic Partnership between The Operating Room Global (TORG) and Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital, an affiliated teaching hospital of the College of Health Sciences, Mekelle University, Ethiopia.

This partnership marks an important milestone in TORG's commitment to advancing global surgical and perioperative education, research, innovation, leadership, and international collaboration.

Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital is one of Ethiopia's leading tertiary academic referral hospitals, serving more than 10 million people and providing undergraduate, postgraduate, and specialist training through the College of Health Sciences, Mekelle University.

Together, we will develop clinical fellowships, observerships, faculty exchange programmes, collaborative research, CPD activities, scientific publications, research ethics collaboration and multidisciplinary capacity-building initiatives.
Initial fellowship and observership opportunities will include General Surgery, Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery, Urology, Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary & Colorectal Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology (ENT), Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Oncology, Robotics & Minimally Invasive Surgery, Anaesthesia, Perioperative Nursing, Operating Department Practice, CSSD/Sterile Processing Services, Surgical Education, and Healthcare Leadership, with additional specialties to follow.

As part of this collaboration, Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital has been recognised as 𝐚𝐧 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐆 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐞, serving as a strategic hub for TORG's educational, research, and clinical collaboration initiatives in Ethiopia and the wider East African region.
