| | Hello and welcome to this slightly later than usual issue of the Wye Organic newsletter.
If you're in Herefordshire reading this, then school is officially out for summer! We are excited to get the children of our farmers in to help out. It's a great opportunity for them to learn our craft, and having small hands certainly helps when picking veg!
This week, we want to tell you about: Team flowers have been busy bees this week! Our veg growers are getting a break from fields of green... Baling 2026 is done! See how many Barry has made below. As always, see what's left to buy in our veg packing shed find out what to expect in your veg and meat boxes next week and join us in making some Ratatouille in this week's 'Recipe of the week'.

| | This week, our veg team have been busy harvesting crops in the garden; spring onions, swiss chard, spinach and salad. Next week, they will be ankle deep amongst a firm favourite herb: Basil. The only difference is this basil is purple!
That's right. Better known as Ocimum basilicum purpureum, this basil has beautiful, deep purple leaves with an outstanding aroma and taste. Why not try it in your dishes next week? |

| | Bailing is officially complete for 2026 and boy does it feel good. After countless hours of mowing, raking, tedding and finally moving the bales, Barry is delighted to say that we now have 968 rounds of yumminess ready for our cattle this winter.
Now the fun begins trying to keep the cows away from it until it is needed...
