This fall we're excited to introduce our students to many fun and inspiring projects as we learn from Burch's whacky cats, Modigliani's elongated portraits, Gaudi's rounded architecture, Michelangelo's powerful sculptures, Medusa's tragic curse, and the abundance of history that lies in Amate Bark art technique.

Each time we look at a piece of art, our brain works to make sense of the visual information it has just received. From highly life-like portraits to abstract composition of shapes, looking at art stimulates the brain and allows us to make sense of the world around us. By studying and analyzing artwork made by the biggest names in art history, artists engage the unconscious and conscious brain functions and pick-up on subtle brush-stroke techniques as they analyze the artist's process. With this approach at the forefront of our process, students at ArtVenture create art inspired by famous artists each and every term throughout the school year. Exposing students to a wide range of styles and techniques in art enables them to grow as artists and develop their own unique artistic voice. From classic to contemporary, students this term will investigate style, reason, rationale, and technique as they expand their knowledge and fine-tune their skills!
