Hi {{ firstname }} ,

Yesterday, I was talking to a friend of mine about this journey. He wanted to know what it was all about, so I started to explain it to him.

After a while, he said, “Ah, I get it. You teach emotional regulation!”

My reaction was, “Kind of.

It is certainly true that the goal of this work is that we do not suffer our emotions — or react to them in a knee-jerk way; or have our clarity of mind clouded by them.

It’s not that we don’t experience the full range of human emotions — it’s that we don’t suffer them, become incapacitated, or even imprisoned by them.

For this reason, I prefer emotional freedom to emotional regulation.

You see, I don't want people to know how to arrest their emotions — I want them to be so free that they don’t need to. That is possible when we have a new relationship with Thought.

That’s what this journey is — developing a new relationship with Thought so we can experience emotional freedom to be and do at our best.

I’m glad he pushed me to get clearer on that. Then he got it!

Would you like to explore this for yourself?

Wishing health and happiness to you,

Steve.

PS. Having an emotional regulation technique is not a bad thing while you are developing that relationship. Remember you can download yours here:
