Hi.... Happy June! Please enlarge the page for a better view of the pictures and text.

Welcome to our community — we’re thrilled to have you here. Today we are really excited to announce the launch of FOUR more NEW Chitter Chatter Clubs.

Mondays 11am at Lytchet Matravers Chequers Inn starting 1st June

Thursdays 11am at the Grasshopper Lower Parkstone starting 4th June

Tuesdays 2.30 at Costa Coffee Kinson from 16th June (Park at Tesco)

Thursdays 2.30 at the Suncliffe Hotel, 29 East Overcliffe - from 18th June Bus no 70, free parking at all.

We can't wait to meet you and if it is your first time, try not to worry too much coming in with yourself, we will be inside ready to welcome you.

Everyone is welcome. Come and Go as you please.

There is no charge for attending a CCC, but if you could drop £1 in the pot it will help us keep outreaching for the next lot of guests and we'll be able to start more clubs to accomodate them. Since I started outreaching in 2022, I have opened 56 chatty, friendly, safe clubs.

Your recovery is in your hands, take every club at your own pace and keep moving forwards.

June's Nature Day Out

27 June 2026 – By the Way Field, Wimborne, 1pm

244 Leigh Rd, Wimborne BH21 2BZ

Bring a Picnic

What do you know about Wimborne?

All Welcome!

My dream for this loneliness recovery mission started in a church when I asked God what is my purpose in this life and it was amazing to fill God's church with Chitter Chatter guests and thank our amazing God  for turning their  lonely, isolated graves into gardens.

Fancy a Day Out in Weymouth with a Chitter Chatter Club and sea views to complete a beautiful day.

If so, choose Mondays as Leann hosts in the wonderful Royal Hotel at 2.30.

Tea and a big slice of cake comes as standard. :))

Chitter Chatter Club's Raffle  was drawn on 15th April with 48 prizes up for grabs.

£218 was raised and we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for all who donated or took part. The monies raised will help us start new clubs and receive all the guests (like you) who we have been able to outreach/invite to come along.

Nicholas O’Hara Funeral Directors reached out to organisations across BCP and selected three non‑profits close to their hearts. We’re proud to be one of them. Thank you for choosing us.

How Facebook and Social Media Quietly Keep People Indoors

I’ve joined a few mental‑health groups online recently, and I’m amazed by how much support very negative posts receive. Not nasty posts — just hundreds of people replying, “I’m like this too.”

Thousands of people openly admitting they don’t go out.
Don’t do anything in a day.
Don’t have anyone to call.
Don’t get invites.
Don’t take even a baby step out of the door.

And I understand it. I lived it. I know exactly how heavy that fog feels.

But one day, the pain of staying the same became greater than the fear of risking change.

So I started with the tiniest steps — steps so small no one else would have noticed:

  • Drying the dishes instead of leaving them to drip

  • Walking up the hill instead of taking the bus

  • Setting an alarm for 8am instead of lying there, rotting inside my thoughts

Those tiny steps became a new history for me. They energised me. They built momentum. They moved me from wanting to change, to making change, to eventually inspiring others.

So now, when I see those doomy, gloomy, heartbreaking posts on Facebook, I gently interrupt the pattern. I say:

“How about changing just one thing today?”

Because I know this truth with every fibre of my being:

Changing the outside creates rewards on the inside.
Loneliness loves to keep you prisoner — but you are not powerless.

You are in charge of your life.
You can take one tiny step.
And if you surround yourself with vibrant, healing people, you will grow beyond where you are right now.

One small change a day can be the beginning of a life you didn’t think you’d ever get back — a life where you realise you’re not just surviving anymore.
You’re enjoying it.

Fingers Crossed Folks

Our clubs may seem simple, but we are a regulated organisation with trained, compassionate volunteers. Safeguarding is taken seriously. Abuse is not tolerated, and volunteers can exclude anyone when formal safeguarding concerns arise.

Loneliness multiplies when we close ourselves off.
But in a Chitter Chatter Club, loneliness is simply the reason we arrive —
and the very thing we forget once we’re together.

When people walk into the room, something shifts.
Conversation begins.
Warmth spreads.
Loneliness loses its grip and quietly slips away.

Please do try to come along.
There’s no pressure, no expectations, no need to explain anything.
We’ll always be here — every week, every season —
so one day, when you’re ready, you’ll walk through the door.
And we’ll be waiting with a cuppa, a smile, and a seat saved just for you.
