Adelaide Central Market wasn’t the only Aussie icon to make the leaderboard. Tying for fourth place with Valencia’s Mercado Central was the South Melbourne Market, both recording an impressive 93.4% of four- or five-star reviews; a testament to Australia’s rich, multicultural food culture.

Academic Integrity Workshops

AIHE recently delivered a series of Academic Integrity Workshops led by Dr Raquel Ho for SP1, including a focused session on Critical AI Literacy. These workshops brought together students and staff in a practical, engaging environment aimed at strengthening ethical scholarship and reinforcing expectations around academic integrity in real-world contexts.

The Critical AI Literacy session explored how students can effectively evaluate and engage with AI-generated outputs, emphasising the importance of questioning, verifying, and critically analysing information rather than accepting it at face value. Students learned key strategies such as identifying bias, checking accuracy using reliable sources, and reflecting on the ethical and responsible use of AI. A hands-on activity allowed participants to create prompts and assess AI responses using a structured critical framework, building practical skills for both academic and professional settings.

These workshops reflect AIHE’s ongoing commitment to academic quality and student success. By combining clear guidance with applied learning, AIHE continues to foster a strong culture of integrity—ensuring it is not just a policy, but a lived practice that supports learning, research, and future professional conduct.

Professional Development Session

AIHE hosted a Professional Development session on enhancing research productivity through AI, as part of our ongoing commitment to academic quality and staff development.

Led by Dr Geethani Nair, the session explored practical tools for literature review, academic writing, research workflows, and the ethical use of AI. A valuable step in equipping our academic community for a rapidly evolving research landscape.

Inspiring Insights from Home Healthcare

During the April school holidays, Certificate III in Business (Medical Administration) students were inspired by guest speaker Tina Iannella, a Home Care Worker who shared her real-life experiences in the industry. She highlighted both the challenges and rewarding moments of providing care, giving students valuable insights into the field. The session was well received and offered a meaningful look into healthcare career pathways.

April Fast Track Program

The smiles of our April Fast Track students reflect more than just a successful program—they represent growth, confidence, and achievement. Throughout the course, students developed essential skills and gained meaningful, hands-on experiences that will support their future pathways.

At AIBT, we are committed to delivering practical, industry-aligned training that equips students with the knowledge and confidence to take their next steps toward further study and employment. The April Fast Track program is a testament to how focused learning and real-world application can empower students to move forward with purpose.

Barista Short Course

Our students recently stepped into a real hospitality setting, gaining hands-on experience in preparing espresso coffee. This practical session allowed them to build essential barista skills while boosting their confidence in a fast-paced, industry environment.

Designed especially for school students, the experience offers a valuable opportunity to gain early exposure to the workforce, prepare for part-time roles during the upcoming school holidays, and work toward earning SACE points. It’s a meaningful first step toward future opportunities in the hospitality industry.

VET for Schools Fast Track Student Orientation

The April Fast Track intake is officially in full swing, with our VET for School students diving into their intensive training programs. As they begin this exciting journey, students are working toward nationally recognised qualifications supported by SACE and VET accreditation.

At AIBT, we are proud to guide and support our students as they take this important step toward their future careers—equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed.

End of Term 1 Celebration

Our Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning) students marked the end of Term 1 with a well-deserved celebration filled with good company, shared experiences, and a little bit of pizza. It was a great opportunity to reflect on their learning journey, strengthen connections, and enjoy a moment of achievement together.

ASQA Sector Workshop

At AIBT, compliance is more than a requirement—it’s a commitment to delivering quality education and outcomes. Our leadership team recently attended the 2026 ASQA Sector Workshop, where they gained valuable insights into the upcoming RTO 2025 Standards, key regulatory focus areas, and the evolving role of AI in shaping the future of VET.

By staying informed and proactive, we continue to strengthen our practices and ensure we provide high-quality, industry-relevant training that supports student success.

AEG and SACE International presents to True Visions International School

Mr Don Chen, President of AEG, and Mr Matt Clarke of SACE International, delivered a workshop for parents, students, and teachers at True Visions International School. Together, they shared insights on the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) International program, highlighting how it supports globally recognised pathways into university and future careers. The sessions were met with strong engagement from both students and parents, reflecting genuine interest in international education opportunities.

We were especially encouraged by the strong support from the True Visions leadership team, whose commitment to expanding global pathways and enhancing student outcomes was clearly evident throughout the visit. A very warm welcome from their experienced and dedicated leadership and teaching team truly showcased the strength of the True Visions community.

AEG Introduces SACE to Cambodia's New Generation Schools

Mr Don Chen, President of AEG, engaged directly with students from Cambodia’s New Generation Schools, sharing insights on the SACE as a pathway to global education. His presentation sparked strong interest and curiosity, with students asking thoughtful and insightful questions about studying in Australia, future career pathways, and what it takes to succeed in a global environment. The conversation highlighted a shared ambition among these students to pursue high-quality, internationally recognised education opportunities.

At AEG, we believe education is most powerful when it connects aspiration with opportunity. Through AIS and pathways such as SACE, alongside AIHE and AIBT, we are committed to supporting students from school through to university and beyond.

End-of-Term Assembly and

IELC Graduation

The term concluded on a high note with the AIS End-of-Term Assembly and IELC Graduation and Awards Ceremony, where students, staff, and families came together to celebrate achievements and milestones.

The event recognised the hard work and dedication of students across the term, with special moments highlighting academic progress, personal growth, and outstanding accomplishments. The IELC Graduation and Awards Ceremony marked an especially proud milestone for graduating students as they move forward into the next stage of their learning journey.

It was a meaningful celebration of growth, perseverance, and new beginnings, closing the term with pride and inspiration for what lies ahead.

Staff Movements

AEG continues to strengthen its global recruitment capability with the expansion of its Student Recruitment Team. As part of this, AEG has engaged Claire de la Mer and Yan Immanuel to support its growing presence in Cambodia. Based in Phnom Penh, Claire leads country-level strategy across International Schools, Study Tours, and Higher Education, while Yan plays a key role as a bridge between AEG’s Australian leadership and Cambodian stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective execution of strategic initiatives.

In parallel, AEG welcomes Stefani Sugiarto and Lucas Coutinho as Student Recruitment Officers for AIBT. Bringing strong international recruitment experience across higher education, admissions, and key markets, including LATAM, they contribute to enrolment growth while supporting students through their journey. These appointments reinforce AEG’s commitment to strengthening international pathways and delivering high-quality education across its integrated ecosystem.
