April is National Native Plant Month

Spring greetings from Florabundance Gardens. The nursery is filled with native plants, bursting forth from our many days of cold. The natives fared well, some are slow to start, some appear gone, but most grew strong roots over the winter and are ready for planting.

You can shop on our website store or make an appointment to shop here and enjoy spring blooms (and sometimes bugs), butterflies, birds and more.

Two native plant sales and an Earth Day Movie Screening are scheduled in Darien for April!

2026 Coastal Wildscapes Spring Native Plant Sale

April 11 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us on April 11th at Ashantilly Center in Darien for the Coastal Wildscapes Spring Native Plant sale. The sale brings together people interested in gardening with native plants and in supporting wildlife for a morning of education and southern hospitality. Four plant vendors and several nonprofits will be on hand for sales and information.

Ashantilly Center will be open for tours and light finger food. Come to shop, bring food and wagons to share, and volunteer to help in any way you can.

Email [email protected] if you have questions about plant availability. Not everything in stock makes it to the website. We take only a small portion of the plants to the sale.

Florabundance will also accept pre-paid orders for delivery to this event until 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 9th. www.florabundancegardens.com  

Please mark in the notes section at checkout that you will pick up on April 11th from 9 AM - 1 PM at the CWS event in Darien.

Friday April 24:

3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Plant Sale with Florabundance Gardens Native Plant Nursery

At 7:00 PM, the dance begins until 9:00 pm

Peace, Love, and Native Plants Dance Darien Lions Club

Florabundance has joined with the Darien Lions Club Earth Day Peace, Love, and Native Plant Dance to host an afternoon plant sale under the pavilion. We will bring a selection of native plants for Sale.

Pre-paid orders will be accepted online until Thursday, April 23rd at 3 PM. Let us know during checkout in our note section, you will pick up in Darien at the 3 to 7 PM sales event.

Gift certificates are available online.
