Fun League 2026 Season Welcome

Welcome to the 2026 Fun League. I hope this finds you well and everyone had an enjoyable Easter holiday. Now, lets get some better weather so the local courses can open! Below is some important info for the upcoming season. The main thing right now is that I need to confirm the teams so we know if there are any openings, etc.

Confirm Team Status

I need to verify which teams are returning this year. Hopefully, we will see most of you back, but if not, we wish you well. If you do not want to be on this email list, just use the unsubscribe link at the end of this email or let me know and I will remove you. Please reply to me to confirm you and/or your team's status. Given how emails get lost in Spam folders or otherwise blocked, please ensure your partner receives this. Also, please let me know if your email or phone number has changed.

We likely will have at least one new team and maybe another looking to join. I do not plan to have more than 14 teams, so it's important to know everyone's plans as soon as possible to get things squared away.

Season Start/End Date

4th of July Week

Last year we started the first Tues in May with a Practice Night the week before. The plan is to stick with that.

Our season usually goes to the first Tues in September. This year that first Tues is Sept 1st which is the earliest it can be. Now, normally we have Championship Night w a Scramble the day after Labor Day which would be Sept 8th. Do we want to have this "extra" week and play until Sept 8th? This would also put the final pizza night on Sept 1st. I'd prefer that to maximize the season, but want your input.

Also, we usually have a "Fun Night" the week of July 4th which marks the break between the two half-seasons. With the 4th being on a Sat, it sort of splits the weeks. My plan is to have the Fun Night on June 30th for I'm thinking most people taking the week off would use that week. Let me know if you prefer it being the following week.

League Rules

I do not plan any changes to the rules from last season. That means the Double Par max hole score and 3-Putt max on the green will still be in effect, along with a Max Handicap of 22. A link to the rules is at the bottom of the email. If you have questions or suggestions, please let me know.

Tee Times

In the past our official start time was just after 4 pm. Now, most times, we were able to start earlier, but not always. I know quite a few groups prefer as early as they can get. This year I was able to secure our tee time range from 3:44 - 4:40 p.m.

Please remember that Tee Times are not scheduled and some groups do need a later start time. Everyone has been accommodating and I have no reason to believe it will stay that way this season. A reminder if you need something outside of that range one week, you will need to schedule that with the course.

I will reiterate this throughout the season, but pace of play is very important, especially if you are in the first half of groups. Please be mindful and practice "Ready Golf".
