Bedford Radio is proud to be a sponsor of the Bedford Independent Everyday Heroes Awards in the category Pride in Bedford Borough. The Awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 7th May at the Quarry Theatre, 26 St Peter's Street, Bedford.
The Awards celebrate the achievements of ordinary people in Bedford who make the town a great place to live in. They look at successes, initiatives, events and campaigns that instil a sense of pride in Bedford Borough. |

Meet Local Author at the Studio |

Bedford children's author, Jenny Ives, will be visiting Jude's Coffee Shop in the Wellbeing Media Hub - which is also the home of the Bedford Radio studios! - on Saturday 23rd May at 12.30pm, for an interactive story time reading of her new book, Otis and the Search for a Monster.
The event is suitable for children aged 4-7 years old and is free to attend. No need to book - just come to Jude's Coffee Shop at 20-22 St Mary's Street, Bedford (just over the bridge from the Swan Hotel).
Jenny will also be giving an interview on the Saturday Social on that day - tune in at 12 noon! |

Bedford Radio hosted the main stage at the Bedford Borough Council St George's Day celebrations in Harpur Square on Saturday 25th April. One of our presenters, Jordan Knight, who hosts The Country Show on Tuesdays, also performed at the event with Red Cuthbert Morris (photo: Tu Plus Tu Photography).

Bedford Independent Film Festival |

Bedford Radio was live at the Bedford Independent Film Festival at the Quarry Theatre on 10th to 12th April.
Our Station Manager, Rebecca Steers, compered on the opening night and hosted the Film Awards Ceremony on the final night.
Throughout the weekend, we interviewed film producers and actors, including many award winners, as well as film extras and the festival organisers. Click the button below to listen again. |

Bedford Radio held its Annual Business Expo on 18th March at King's House, Bedford. Over 40 companies exhibited at the Expo and lots visitors attended throughout the day.
We also conducted live interviews with many of the exhibitors, who talked about how the Expo helps their businesses and why they return each year.
