During full credit event, you may buy regular priced books using JUST store credit, no cash required.  Irregularly priced books (they've got a big sticker on the back!) and special orders are not eligible. Items on the website in the "Benefits Bethel Pride" section are not eligible as those are fundraiser items for Pride. In store, this means the flags and similar Pride items.

You may not use store credit to buy gift certificates.

You MAY use it to buy artwork in the store. We just don't have those paintings listed online. You know you always wanted an opossum or a werewolf!

FOR THE FULL CREDIT PERIOD, WE WILL TAKE NO MORE THAN ONE BAG OF BOOKS PER CUSTOMER, PER DAY.

To order online, use the code:  FULLCREDIT26  to buy just with store credit. The coupon code becomes active on THURSDAY after I close.  Coupon is good to the end of the day Monday May 25th. Input the code in the box labeled Promo Code and hit "apply". It will still show you having SOME money owed because we can only set the coupon code to 99% off or the website cries.

If you will be picking up an online order in-person, on the shipping page select "pick up in store" or "contactless" as the shipping option and "pay in store" as payment option. You owe us nothing, I'll subtract correct total from your credit. The drop box for contactless pickup is the black box on the store porch. Your order will have your name on it.

Online orders for in-store pickup must be picked up no later than Tuesday, June 2nd. You can request they go in the contactless pickup box!

If you wish to have them shipped, you may still get the books with full credit, but must pay for the media mail shipping, which is $4.47 for the first item, $0.55 for each additional and the 1% left of the total.

All orders placed after close of business day will be filled at start of next business day. Otherwise, give us about an hour to fill orders for pickup.

Group credits

Several local groups have group credits.  If you are a member of the Bethel Methodist Church ($70), Congregational Church of Bethel ($329), Congregational Church of Brookfield ($128), or Episcopal Church of Bethel ($264), or Bethel Senior Center ($182) you may use their group credit. For the group credits, please identify in the "any special directions" in online order which credit you are using or ask in person

If you are a teacher you may use the teacher credit to get books for your classroom. It has $2044 on it. PLEASE USE IT. Share with friends!

Do I qualify as a teacher?- For purposes of determining are you a teacher, are you teaching someone or otherwise promoting literacy? Yes? Use the teacher credit. Running a library or helping supply a prison reading program? Go wild! We trust our customers to be honest about that. 

How much credit do I have?

Either call us at the store (203)743-6938 while we are open, send us an email at [email protected], or message us on Facebook, and we'll tell you how much credit you currently have on file. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME IN THE MESSAGE.

We CAN generate you a specific online code that is for the exact amount of your credit so you don't run over your total. Just send us a request!

Can I transfer my credit or let someone else use it?

Yes, please send us message with who you'd like to transfer the credit to OR who you'd like to let use it. (we'll add them as a secondary user)

You will get your regular weekly email with local events on Friday morning.
