Happy May X Chapter Family!
With May comes not only an opportunity to get out and enjoy the countless events that are available across the CCA network and car community more broadly but also my last month serving as the chapter's President. It has been a wonderful last month with the chance to spend time with many of you for the Central Coast Wine Rendezvous in Paso Robles, CA, represent the Club and Chapter in the inaugural Trinite Road Rally, and enjoyed a European escape with Delightful Driving exploring the Martine Alps, the famous Route Napoleon, Gorges du Daluis and Gorges du Cians among other great roads. It was so wonderful to connect with some members of the European car community and share the roads with them. I even spied some of the first iX3s delivered in the "wild", got the chance to drive a 1 series 20d (though it's not an X, it was a blast to drive. I'd totally buy one!) and a Mini JCW Convertible! I am excited to welcome Heidi Bushko to the X Chapter Board. Heidi will be succeeding me as the chapter's President. She lives in Florida and is also a member of the Florida Suncoast Chapter. Heidi bought her first BMW, a 430i hard top convertible in snapper rocks blue metallic, in 2021 and immediately joined CCA. Later that year she bought an X5 with the M sport package. Her and her daughter, Hope, spend most of their time at the barn with their horse, Real Estate Mogul. Two years ago she turned her love of travel into a business as a travel advisor.
She is excited to join the X Chapter Board and continue doing great things with the Chapter. I'm grateful for her willingness to raise her hand and volunteer for this role.
Also new to our team is Gabriel Reyes. Gabe is a member of the Sunshine Bimmers and has joined us as our Social Media and Communications Director. Gabe's been a member of the BMW CCA since he was 17! He bought his first BMW when he was 16, an Alpine White F30 320i xDrive, and has been in love with BMWs since then. He recently added an Alpine White F32 440i M sport to his stable and absolutely loves driving it. Gabe is involved in running many car events in the Central Florida area. Be sure to follow the chapter on all our channels and support Gabe in this new endeavor - like, share, comment, submit photos to be featured! The Board is extremely thankful to Gabe for stepping up and doing some heavy lifting on this very important role for the Chapter. You can find our various social media channels on our Linktree here.

Membership Fee Updates: Membership fees will increase beginning July 1, 2026. I encourage you to review your membership and consider renewing now to ensure you are able to take advantage of current rates. Also be sure to include your X Chapter membership in that renewal to ensure you stay connected with us!
Volunteers Needed: The Chapter remains in need of volunteers to assist with many chapter functions - if you have an hour or two per month that you can share, please reach out to volunteer your time. Remember, CCA chapters are 100% volunteer run and it's up to all of us to share our time to make the club what we want.

Though it's not a "Goodbye" in any way, I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank all of you for your support over the last few years as we've doubled the size of the Chapter, increased awareness inside/outside the CCA network and hosted an incredible series of memorable events allowing us all to share wonderful memories. I look forward to seeing all of you at future events and look forward to hearing from you as I settle in to my new role as Secretary with the National Board.
