Each year we bask in the glory of the ever changing seasons with the promise of renewal and a fresh start! Nature has long since inspired artists, offering not only a changing visual palette but also a framework for thinking about transformation and the passing of time. As we wrap-up our 19th year at ArtVenture, we are humbled by the 75 seasons we were able to share with you, our students and readers, and we are grateful for your continued support. We have recently said goodbye to Julia, one of our instructors who is going back to school to pursue her Bachelor's of Education degree. Her parting words were heartfelt and worthy of mention, as she shared the following:
"Before teaching at ArtVenture, I had never experienced a place that exposes children to the arts in such an advanced way. As someone who had a lackluster experience of art throughout public school, seeing students reach the goals we set for them was heart-warming and inspiring. You have cultivated such an incredible group of teachers and students, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. ArtVenture emanates passion and energy and I am grateful for what it has brought out of me."

Within the world of art, few artists have explored the cycle of seasons with as much intensity and variety as Henri Rousseau, Georgia O'Keeffe, Paul Cezanne, and Bill Reid. While their approach differs widely, each found a language that speaks to the rhythm of nature and the human experience of living within nature. As we begin to explore these and other artists' body of work with our students this spring, we're eager to see how their approach begins to blossom! Classes start next week and registration into our Spring Term Art Classes is now available online. With classes available for school-aged kids, High School youth, and Adults, we look forward to seeing your artwork conceived of and created in our amidst this term. Registration is also available for our next Art History Lecture Series as well as our upcoming Summer Camps, Workshops and Adult Classes where students of all ages are provided with a chance to explore art in a fun and educational environment!
Be it during spring or summer, we look forward to welcoming you to our studio soon and wish you and your family a wonderful month of April.
