| Last month, WCAX joined us at the MREMS station to spotlight a unique partnership between Middlebury Regional EMS and Middlebury College. Student EMTs guided reporter John McMahon through a bleeding control demonstration. |

| The segment also explored the long-standing relationship between MREMS and Middlebury College. For more than 25 years, Middlebury College students have volunteered or worked as EMTs with MREMS. The latest iteration of this partnership is a formal internship program supported by the College’s Center for Careers and Internships.
Through this partnership, students gain real-world exposure to emergency medicine while supporting local EMS operations. By training alongside experienced providers, participants build skills that strengthen both their education and the broader emergency response system serving Addison County. The program reflects MREMS’s ongoing commitment to workforce development, community collaboration, and preparing the next generation of emergency medical professionals.

| Support Emergency Care in Addison County |
|
Your mail carrier may have brought MREMS to your mailbox this week. Our annual Winter Appeal mailers are now arriving in homes across Addison County, inviting community members to support the continued delivery of emergency medical services throughout the region. |

| This appeal is an important opportunity to help sustain emergency medical services across Addison County. As a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, MREMS operates independently and relies on donor contributions to keep ambulances in service, equipment ready, and trained crews available 24/7 when emergencies occur
This year, we’ve made giving easier than ever, with a simple online donation option for those who prefer to give digitally. Whether you choose to give by mail or online, your support has a direct impact on emergency care for your neighbors, friends, and family.
