OPEN ACCESS PUBLISHING WITH CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY PRESS AND EMERALD PUBLISHING

s of 1 January 2026, academic staff of the Krakow University of Economics will have the opportunity to publish their articles in open access under two publishing programs: Cambridge University Press (unlimited open access publishing in selected journals) and Emerald Publishing – three vouchers (available for use).

HERDirection: Women Impact Seminar III

Krakow School of Business KUE hosted the third edition of HERDirection – Women Impact Seminar, led by Dr. Vanessa Collingridge, a British author, presenter, and long-standing collaborator of KSB KUE.

This year’s seminar brought together women interested in strengthening their leadership skills, deepening their self-awareness, and building professional relationships based on openness and mutual support.

Open Lecture by Rosie Collington “The Big Con: How Consulting Firms Take Agency Away from Governments”

On Friday, 16 January 2026, the Krakow University of Economics hosted the inaugural meeting of a new Scientific Seminar Series of the College of Public Economy and Administration.

The event was opened with a highly topical and thought-provoking lecture by Rosie Collington, a researcher at the Copenhagen Business School and co-author of the widely discussed book "The Big Con: How the Consulting Industry Weakens Our Businesses, Infantilizes Our Governments and Warps Our Economies".

KUE's Student Awarded the Title of Best International Student in Poland – INTERSTUDENT 2026 Laureate

We are proud to announce that Emilia Horn, a third-year full-time student of the International Business programme at the Krakow University of Economics, has been named a laureate of the nationwide INTERSTUDENT 2026 competition (Bachelor Studies).

The competition recognizes outstanding international students studying in Poland whose academic, social, and intercultural engagement brings tangible value to their universities and local communities.

Discover the World with Erasmus+ – Third Meeting “Mobility with the IPO” Completed

On January 13, the student club ZaUEK hosted the third event in the “Mobility with the IPO” meeting series, organized by the International Programs Office of the Krakow University of Economics.

The event, held under the title “Discover the World with Erasmus+”, attracted students interested in international mobility opportunities within the Erasmus+ Programme and Erasmus + Third countries not associated to the Programme for the 2026/2027 academic year.

KUE Participates in the KRASP–Elsevier Scholarship Program for Ukrainian Researchers

Under the agreement concluded with the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland, the Krakow University of Economics has undertaken cooperation in the implementation of KRASP–Elsevier scholarships aimed at strengthening the research potential of Ukrainian doctoral students and researchers.

The Department of Risk Management and Insurance of the Krakow University of Economics has hosted a KRASP–Elsevier Scholarship holder, Dr Maryna Derzhevetska from LLC Technical University Metinvest Polytechnic, for a research and academic internship.

The leading theme of the research project carried out during the internship is “Financial Education of Youth and Children for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.”

Call for International Reviewers

The Krakow University of Economics invites international scholars holding at least a doctoral degree to join the reviewer community of the Krakow Review of Economics and Management.

Founded in 1957, the journal provides a respected academic platform for publishing innovative research in economics and management, with particular emphasis on Central European perspectives. As we continue to strengthen the journal’s international profile, we welcome reviewers who are committed to supporting high-quality, impactful scholarship.

Serving as a reviewer typically involves no more than two reviews per year, yet contributes meaningfully to advancing rigorous academic standards and fostering global research exchange.
