I grew up in a home where the Lord was honoured, but as a teenager I didn’t want to know him. I thought God was distant and irrelevant. At 15, the Lord graciously intervened at an EMW camp. He showed me my sin, that I couldn’t save myself, and that I needed Christ, who had already done everything at the cross to rescue me. By his grace, he gave me faith in him.
Since then, the Lord has deepened my conviction that I’m not my own, but belong to him. I began to sense a call to ministry and explored this through mission trips, a church internship, and many conversations with the leadership at Emmanuel Evangelical Church, Chippenham, who in God’s providence sent me here to Harpenden.
My hope at Seminary is to be stretched and shaped by God’s Word — to grow in my understanding of Scripture, to learn the biblical languages, and to keep asking many questions of my lecturers so I can take it all in and be better equipped to serve His people. Above all, I long to see more of my God, who loved us and chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world. To him belongs all the praise and the glory.
Please pray that I’d grow in holiness, humility and love for Christ, and that the Lord would use this time of training to equip me to serve his people faithfully for years to come.
