A Message from Carli & Robert

Dear Friends and Family:

As we continue the journey with Abetavu, we are reminded again and again that God often works through the simplest acts of love and generosity.

A meal.

A school fee.

A medical appointment.

A mattress.

A pair of shoes.

A place where a child feels safe and accepted.

Each one may seem small, but together, these acts become something much bigger, a community of people choosing to care for children and families who are often overlooked.

We are so grateful for everyone who has prayed, given, sponsored a family, donated, or shared the Abetavu story with someone else.

You are part of this story.

MEET SAMUEL:

A Story of Hope, Courage & a Mother’s Love

We would like to introduce you to Samuel, one of the newest children being supported through Abetavu.

Samuel lives in our village with his mother. He was born with Down syndrome and a heart condition that required medical attention.

Samuel's mother is raising him on her own. When Samuel was born, his father left the family and denied being his father because of Samuel's disability.

For a single mother already facing many challenges, caring for a child with additional medical needs can feel overwhelming.

But Samuel is not forgotten.

Through the support of Abetavu and our generous supporters, Samuel was able to receive the medical assessment and diagnosis he needed. His heart condition has now been identified and he has been placed on a waiting list for heart surgery.

This is an important step forward. There is still a journey ahead for Samuel and his mother, but now they have answers and, most importantly, hope.

Please keep Samuel and his mother in your prayers as they wait for his surgery.

Your support makes it possible for us to step into situations where families may otherwise have nowhere to turn and say: You are not alone..

OUR SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM

One of the ministries closest to our hearts is our daycare and outreach program for children with special needs.

Our program provides children with a safe and loving environment where they can receive care, support, physiotherapy, nutrition, medical assessments, mobility equipment and opportunities to learn and grow.

It also provides encouragement and practical support to families who are often facing tremendous challenges.

But the need continues to grow.

We now have a waiting list of more than 35 children.

These are children and families who are waiting for a place in our program, but right now, we simply do not have the additional funding needed to help them.

We need to raise an additional $500 every month to strengthen this program and allow us to begin reaching more of the children who are waiting.

We don't want a lack of funding to be the reason we have to tell a family that we can't help their child.

SEEDS OF HOPE

Planting More Than Food

One of the exciting areas God is opening doors for Abetavu is our Seeds of Hope Farming Initiative.

Our goal is not simply to provide food for families today, but to help families develop sustainable ways to provide for themselves in the future.

Through farming, families can grow food, generate income and create greater stability for their children.

A gift of $150 can help provide a family with resources to begin a farming project.

When we plant a seed, we are planting more than food.

We are planting hope for tomorrow.

ROBERT IS HEADING BACK TO UGANDA!

November 2026 • Three Months of Serving

In November, Robert will be travelling back to Uganda for three months to spend time serving with Abetavu and working alongside the children, families, and communities we support.

As he prepares for his trip, we are collecting gently used and new items that he can bring with him to bless families in our community.
