| From our family to yours, we wish you a very happy and healthy new year! While 2025 was wrought with global turmoil, our aim at ArtVenture has always been to provide art-loving individuals such as yourself a calm and safe space to explore art with joy and inner silence. As Picasso famously said, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”, and with every year that passes, we hope we're able to provide our students with exactly that - a chance to de-stress and enjoy the process of art-making!
As some of you know, our studio often uses photos and artwork from calendars as resource for various art projects. For this reason, we are seeking any 2025 calendar donations with photos of nature, animals, architecture and artists from around the world. And with just a few days to go before we begin our winter journey together, we're excited to welcome new and returning students to our studio as we dive into three separate programs and two different art exhibits this winter! With limited space still available in our Winter Term Art Classes we hope you'd consider checking out our schedule and enrolling yourself and/or your young artists into one of our winter classes. We offer daytime, evening, and weekend classes for school-aged students, youth, and adults alike! Please note that waitlists are available for classes that have reached capacity, and additional classes may be added to our current schedule. If a class that works best with your winter schedule is already full, please email us with your request and we will do our best to accommodate. For those interested in the history of art, we have something for you as well! We are excited to welcome Professor and Art Historian Sonia Halpern back to the studio for our next Art Smart Lecture Series "A Brush with the Law: Artists, Crime, and Deviance." In this 6-part weekly Lecture Series, Sonia will examine the involvement of select artists in cases of sexual misconduct, violent crimes, and addictions, and will explore how certain unfortunate events contributed to the artist's fame and notoriety. ART EXHIBIT: With nearly two decades of artwork created by students at ArtVenture, this exhibit honours those who have made it their weekly goal to attend classes for over ten consecutive years! Focusing on a range of acrylic paintings created at ArtVenture over the years, this exhibit will highlight works completed by six artists as they continue to explore new styles and techniques in art. Their hard work and boundless dedication showcases a tremendous commitment to creativity, which is both admirable and inspiring! The exhibit will be available for viewing until mid-February
Coming Soon: For those already planning for March Break, our March Break Art Camp provides a fun and educational experience where children express themselves creatively while learning about the elements and principles of art and design. Infusing a component of art history, campers are exposed to famous 20th century artists as they work on art projects based on inspiration, observation, and imagination. This year we will be running half-day camps in the afternoons (March 16-20, 1:00-4:00pm) and can't wait to see our campers explore a variety of drawing and painting projects.
We hope to see you join us in 2026 and wish you and your family many inspiring moments in the coming year! The ArtVenture Team |
