Urban Exchange has had a good and full month of loving our neighbor by engaging real city challenges together.

Over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, we had the privilege of hosting an Immersive Experience group from Crescent City Foursquare Church, led by Pastor Roger Bodenstab. This mighty team of 22 spent their 9th annual (wow!) 3-day trip engaging real city challenges together -- spending time having conversations with unhoused neighbors, giving them coffee, donuts, and hygiene packs; inviting local businesses to be a part of a freedom network for trafficked victims; and covering San Francisco in prayer, among other things!

Pastor Roger shared:

"On Saturday night as our team members shared what the Lord had done in their hearts and the work done through their availability, I couldn't stop crying -- with tears of joy!

Urban Exchange is not just an event to experience, but even more, an experience that brings lifetime transformation each time you experience it!"

We also hosted our second annual Do Together Serve Day benefitting Bret Harte Elementary School. We partnered with nine incredible organizations, including Anchor Church, Crescent City Foursquare Church, Cornerstone Evangelical Baptist Church, True Hope Church, Love Never Fails, Adult & Teen Challenge, Us4Us, Nature in the City, and Moonstar Charitable, and 56 volunteers to love on our adopted neighborhood school.

And we didn't just stop there! Following the event itself, For the Bay Area and Pastor Josh Chen and volunteer Steven from Cornerstone Evangelical Baptist Church made it possible to fulfill Bret Harte's wishlist, and filled our minivans with office supplies, furniture and lighting, and toys to bless the Bret Harte community!

Most recently, on Super Bowl Saturday, our friends at Convoy of Hope invited us to partner with them to distribute food to neighbors in need! We are so grateful for volunteer Rose from Anchor Church, picture here, and all other volunteers who joined us!
