As we celebrate Christmas and end the year with joy, we reflect on the last year, when impossibles turned possible; may we share one of these moments with you?
Did you know that our 2025 Do Together Serve Day was one such "impossible"?
When we began to look at how much it would cost to carry out all we had committed to, we realized our costs had grown quicker than anticipated.
We would need $6,000 – $6,000 we didn’t have when we started.
On the way back from a project planning meeting, where we realized we needed more funding from somewhere, we received a call from a woman whose aunt had recently passed away and had designated money from her will for our continued work!
We invested those funds – $6,000, the exact amount as our deficit – directly to the students, teachers, school, and community during our 2025 Do Together Serve Day.
And that’s not all – partners donated paint, provided lunch, invited volunteers, and showed up to do the work together. It was such a visible, tangible, felt, and realized miracle.
