| Coast Guard military members to receive pay during government shutdown The U.S. Coast Guard confirmed today that its military service members will receive their mid-month paycheck for October 15. Pay will be processed and deposited in their designated accounts between October 15-17. “Our people are the heart of the Coast Guard,” said Admiral Kevin Lunday, Acting Commandant. "We are grateful for the actions taken by President Trump and Secretary Noem to ensure that our members — who protect and defend our nation’s maritime borders and our citizens every day — receive the pay they have earned.” |

| Coast Guard operation seizes 75,000 pounds of cocaine The U.S. Coast Guard announced Thursday that Operation Pacific Viper reached an interdiction milestone by seizing 75,000 pounds of cocaine since it launched on Aug. 8. The total averages to about 1,800 pounds of cocaine interdicted per day, according to a service news release. The haul was brought in by more than 20 interdictions that also saw the arrests of 59 suspected drug traffickers. |
