October 23, 2025 (Greystones, IE) // Every once in a while, a song arrives that doesn’t just describe a season, it feels like stepping into it. Garrett Anthony Rice’s “When Leaves Keep Falling” captures autumn not as scenery but as sensation. There’s a quiet ache threaded through the song’s DNA, tempered by a flicker of hope that keeps it from collapsing under its own weight.

Here, Rice chose to keep a loose, open configuration, allowing the structure to breathe instead of tightening its hold. Like falling leaves, the track drifts and weaves through layers of sound in an organic and natural manner. During the bridge, a gospel choir elevates the song into the same euphoric ride that echoes what T. Rex provided in "20th Century Boy" before the song blends into a final part that captures the spirit of Marvin Gaye's “What’s Going On?”. It feels intimate and expansive, like watching fog lift to something luminous and essential, finally named.

Listen to “When Leaves Keep Falling” HERE

Through a sound that eludes simple classification, “When Leaves Keep Falling” asks for honesty, both to yourself and to others. It captures the essence of the season: vulnerable, in transition, and beautifully stunning in its bareness. In Rice’s vision, autumn is not melancholic but rather a state of transitional becoming.

As part of his upcoming double album Equinox, “When Leaves Keep Falling” stands out as one of his most emotionally resonant works to date. Where earlier singles like “Eden,” “In the Sun,” “I Found Myself Today,” and “It’s Not The Summer” showcased stylistic range, this one centers stillness, clarity, and growth, the quiet stretch before the next chapter begins.

About Garrett Anthony Rice

Hailing from County Dublin, Ireland, and now living in Greystones, County Wicklow, for the last twenty years with his family, Garrett Anthony Rice intends to make a significant impact on the global music scene in 2025.

EQUINOX” is the first double album (18 songs) to be released by a debut solo artist as their second record in musical history, so the task of writing and completing this record was pretty daunting and enormous.

Garrett released his debut album under the alias of (i) CONSULT in October 2023; entitled "Reflections Part II, the very best of……" which was streamed in 93 countries and peaked the interest of UK producer Chris Potter (The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, U2 and The Verve/ Richard Ashcroft) in late 2023.

Out of a possible 30 recorded demos, 18 were selected and recorded throughout 2024, both in the UK and Ireland and already the well-known and esteemed music professionals who worked on this record and who have heard it are lauding this album as the record of this year.

“EQUINOX” will be available to pre-save closer to the time of release on vinyl
