🍂 Welcome to Autumn!🍂

"As The Hills Turn Bronze, And The Light Softens, Our Team Work Hard To Weave The Warmth Of Mull Into Every Thread" 

...and what a welcome to Autumn we had here on Mull!  Storm Amy hit pretty hard and most of Mull had no power for a few days.  Fortunately we had little damage here at Ardalanish (we needed a new roof on the shop anyway!) and the wind turbine kept our power going when many had none.  It was amazing how our dye garden was still green the day before the storm and afterwards was completely salt-burnt.  Luckily we had harvested pretty much everything.  We have since been sorting fleeces for next year, so we`ll now mulch the garden with wool and seaweed and look towards next year.  All the gathered fleeces have been sorted and graded, with the best going to be our new yarns and the lower quality wool going to our own gardens and those of others in our island community.



We`ve also been weaving away and have a few new scarves in our shop and online - see the photos below.  Also, if anyone is thinking ahead to Christmas, check out our Tweed waistcoats and our tweed ties (all made right here from our own tweeds), not to mention tweed Hot Water Bottle Covers!!
