Advisor Update

October 2025

State Director Update:

The selection process is moving along. We had 34 applicants. The State Office worked with the Advisors’ Council to select which candidates have the skill set that we are looking for. First round interviews will be held this week with the goal to be able to announce the New State Director at the Fall Leadership Conference.

The Fall Leadership Conference (FLC)

Our 2025 Fall State Leadership Conference is Wednesday, October 22nd at the Lansing Center. While your students participate in professional development activities planned specifically to develop student leadership skills, you will have the chance to attend advisor professional development workshops. Lunch will be provided.

Registration closes on Tuesday, October 14th. Registration instructions and the link are posted here.

All participants should bring at least one non-perishable food item to the conference to use during the Food Sculpture workshop and items will be donated to the Greater Lansing Food Bank after the conference.

The Road to Competition

    Intent to Compete Form

You must complete the Intent to Compete form by November 1st if your students plan to compete this year! We use the data to determine which contests will be held at both the Regional and State Conference levels. It is essential to indicate all contests you and/or your school would like to participate in.

    Regional Championships

Regional Conference dates and information will be shared soon. Please check our Regional Competition page for updates and watch for communications from your Regional Representatives.
