Welcome to our first newsletter of 2026! We have a busy year ahead of us, with referrals continuing to increase and our 1 to 1 support offer proving very popular. We also have a brilliant events schedule with lots of fun activities coming up in the Swindon and Wiltshire area.

NEW One to One Support Offer

As part of our service we are now able to offer one to one support for bereaved children or young people aged 6-18 (up to 25 with SEND). This is individual help where they meet with one of our team on a regular basis to help them to process and cope with their grief.

Training

New for 2026 - Free 1hr Workshop Offer

Receive a FREE 1 hour, virtual bereavement workshop for staff when you fundraise over £500 for Wiltshire Treehouse in 2026!

Our workshop gives an introduction to how children and young people grieve, what can help them and resources to support them.

• Free workshops are for a maximum of 25 staff, delivered virtually & limited to 1 workshop per individual school/college.

• Your organisation should contact us if they have made a donation and would like to claim their free workshop.

• Your workshop will be delivered at a mutually convenient time & date within 6 months of your donation.

First Line Bereavement Support Training

Date: Wednesday 4th November 2026, 10:00 – 15:00

Venue: Rowdefield Training & Education, Rowdefield Farm, Devizes, SN10 2JE

Cost: £120pp. 10% discount for multiple bookings from the same organisation

Suitable for professionals working with 4-18yr olds, this 1 day course will develop the skills and techniques required to provide first line bereavement support. Suitable for anyone working with this age group.

Learning Outcomes: Understand the grieving process, age related grieving behaviours and practical methods of support. Understand risk factors and know where and how you can signpost for specialist support.

Swindon NEST Group Volunteers Needed

We are looking for volunteers to help with our Swindon NEST programme that brings young people together to explore their grief. For further details please read the role description below.

Wiltshire Treehouse Champions

We are looking for volunteer Charity Champions across Swindon & Wiltshire, who will represent the charity at talks to groups or manning stalls at events like fetes, supermarkets and community events.

Bespoke Keepsake Books

Preserving stories about someone special who has died can help children express their feelings, and continue to feel connected with the person.
