The next edition of the Global Forum on Nicotine takes place in the vibrant city of Warsaw, Poland, at The Warsaw Presidential Hotel (former Warsaw Marriott Hotel), from Wednesday 3 to Friday 5 June 2026. Wednesday morning will see some side meetings, many open to anyone registered for the in-person event.

With over fifteen years of alternative nicotine products displacing tobacco as a safer form of using nicotine, harm reduction as a means to improve public health is under attack as never before.

As noted at #GFN25, the scientific evidence for tobacco harm reduction continues to grow. Yet each year, popular opinion about it worsens as legislators are put under increasing pressure to legislate against access to reduced harm products such as vapes, nicotine pouches, snus and heated tobacco products.

GFN26’s conference theme, Prohibition and Public Health, will focus on subjects addressing the challenges and threats to the adoption of reduced harm products and how the opposition to their use is presenting increased risk to people who smoke who seek to reduce their risk exposure but are being blocked by blanket and partial bans. With lobby groups arguing to legislators that tobacco harm reduction is an industry-driven concept, demanding prohibition, how do we promote positive, evidence-based legislative changes to improve public health?

Global Forum on Nicotine 2026 programme
Each day will feature key-note presentations from thought leaders in tobacco harm reduction, with the opportunity for Q&A from the audience, both in the room and online. Moderated panel discussions will have similar opportunities for audience engagement.

Parallel sessions will include ScienceLab, workshop sessions, and a session in Spanish.

This year’s Michael Russell Oration will be delivered by a harm reduction goliath. More details will be released soon, so watch this space.

Following the Oration will be the popular conference party. Open to everyone registered for GFN, it is the perfect opportunity to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Selected GFN sessions will be streamed live to the online audience for free and simultaneously translated into Spanish and Russian.

Get ready for GFN Science Lab
We are excited that our popular and innovative Science Lab is returning for its third year. Science Lab offers opportunities to researchers working in tobacco harm reduction to present and discuss their work with the GFN audience in Warsaw. To enter you need to create a short (five minutes or less) video of your recent scientific developments. If accepted for a GFN Science Lab session you will be given up to 15 minutes – including the time to show your five minute video – to present and discuss your work during one of the Science Lab sessions at GFN in Warsaw.
