VISIT OF YILDIZ TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY DELEGATION TO KUE

We had the pleasure of hosting a distinguished delegation from Yildiz Technical University for a visit full of promising ideas and shared ambitions. The Turkish delegation was led by Rector Prof. Dr. Eyüp Debik, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Özer Çınar, Chief Advisor to the Rector responsible for Internationalization, Prof. Dr. Cengiz Kaya, Head of the IPO and Deputy General Manager of YTU Teknopark, and Mr. Murat Turhan, Coordinator of the IPO.

OPEN LECTURE BY AMBASSADOR RUPERT SCHLEGELMILCH

On 25 November 2025, as part of the debate titled “Challenges in Negotiating and Implementing Trade Agreements. The European Union – Mercosur Agreement” organized by the Department of European Studies and Economic Integration of the KUE and the European Commission – Representation in Poland, the Open Lecture by Ambassador Rupert Schlegelmilch was held.

KUE becomes an official signatory of the Magna Charta Universitatum

Krakow University of Economics has become an official signatory of the Magna Charta Universitatum (MCU2020), reaffirming its commitment to academic freedom, institutional autonomy, and social responsibility. The signing ceremony took place on 13 November 2025 during the Magna Charta Observatory Anniversary at King’s College London.

KUE was represented by Rector, Dr Habil. Bernard Ziębicki, Associate Professor and the Director of the International Relations Office, Dr Habil. Katarzyna Sanak-Kosmowska, Associate Professor.

The International Programs Office of the KUE has launched a new project for mobility promotion

The International Programs Office as a part of International Relations Office has launched a new initiative aimed at promoting and supporting student participation in international mobility programs — the “Mobility with the IPO” meeting series.

This initiative is designed to familiarize students with the wide range of international mobility opportunities available at KUE, including Erasmus+ exchanges, double degree programmes, and bilateral study abroad options.

Through this initiative, KUE continues to foster a strong culture of internationalisation, ensuring that its students are well-prepared to take advantage of the opportunities created in cooperation with our global partners.

Clarissa De Matteis, PhD Student from University of Salento

Clarissa De Matteis from the University of Salento completed a three-month research visit at the KUE. During her stay at the Krakow University of Economics, Clarissa collaborated closely with Dr habil. Joanna Krasodomska, Associate Professor, gaining valuable insights into sustainability reporting and the emerging role of artificial intelligence in corporate disclosure.

Her visit enabled significant professional development, strengthened academic expertise, and fostered joint exploration of new research perspectives. Clarissa expressed her sincere appreciation to Professor Krasodomska, the Krakow University of Economics community, and all colleagues who supported her work, as well as to her home institution – the Department of Economic Sciences at the University of Salento – for enabling this opportunity.

This collaboration exemplifies the impact of international academic mobility and the strong ties between our institutions. We look forward to further joint initiatives in the future.

Laura Domínguez Díaz, Assistant Professor from the Complutense University of Madrid

Laura Domínguez Díaz is an Assistant Professor at Nutrition and Food Science Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, and a member of UCM Research Group ALIMNOVA – Novel Foods. Scientific, Technological and Social aspects. Her research lines are focused on the chemical analysis of foods of plant origin, functional foods, food supplements (nutrients, bioactive compounds), and their legal implications in terms of labeling (nutrition and health claims), sensory analysis of foods (consumer hedonic perception and food neophobia), and consumer behavior.

She completed a three-month fellowship at the Department of Market Analysis and Marketing Research of the KUE. Research supervision and mentoring were provided by Dr habil. Adam Sagan, Associate Professor and Dr Eng. Irena Śliwińska, Assistant Professor.

The Krakow University of Economics invites international scholars holding at least a doctoral degree to join the reviewer community of the Krakow Review of Economics and Management.

Founded in 1957, the journal provides a respected academic platform for publishing innovative research in economics and management, with particular emphasis on Central European perspectives. As we continue to strengthen the journal’s international profile, we welcome reviewers who are committed to supporting high-quality, impactful scholarship.

Serving as a reviewer typically involves no more than two reviews per year, yet contributes meaningfully to advancing rigorous academic standards and fostering global research exchange.
