We are excited to extend our Food Drive to support our local community. All donations will be given to a local food bank to help provide meals for families in need.



How to Donate

  • When: Through Friday, November 21
  • What: Please bring non-perishable, shelf-stable food items (see suggestions below).
  • Where: Students should bring their donations directly to their First Period Class.

Suggested Donation Items

We are looking for items that are easy to store and have a long shelf life:

  • Canned Goods: Vegetables, fruit, beans, tuna, chicken, soup, chili.
  • Grains/Starches: Pasta, rice, cereal, oatmeal, instant potatoes.
  • Jars/Containers: Peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce.
  • Other: Boxed mac & cheese, individual fruit cups, granola bars.

Thank you for your generosity! Every item donated makes a difference in the lives of our neighbors.

If you haven’t joined yet, there’s still time to make a difference. For every $250 donation made by April 30, you’ll receive a free yearbook as a thank-you for your support.

    Taylor Staff Thanksgiving Meal

    Dear Taylor Middle School families,

    

    We are excited to show our appreciation to all the Taylor Staff during this upcoming season of thanksgiving! We are grateful for them and all they do for our students on a daily basis. We want to express our gratitude by spoiling each of them with a wonderful Thanksgiving meal on Monday November 24th. Taylor PTA will provide the turkeys and we're asking for your help with the sides, desserts, and drinks to make this a memorable feast they can all share together.

    Taylor 8th Grade Information Night

    We warmly invite you to attend our essential 8th Grade Information Night to ensure a smooth, successful, and fun-filled final year of middle school for your student.

    

    This is a crucial evening where you will get all the details needed to navigate the transition from 8th grade to high school, and learn how to make the most of the next few months!

    • When: Thursday, November 19 at 5:30 PM
    • Where: Taylor Auditorium
    • Who Should Attend: 8th-grade students and at least one parent/guardian.

    This evening is packed with important information covering two main topics:

    

    Exciting 8th Grade Activities Your student has earned the opportunity to participate in several memorable events throughout the year. We will review the details for these exciting activities:

    • The 8th Grade Field Trip
    • The 8th grade dance
    • The 8th Grade Pancake Breakfast
    • The Promotion Ceremony, including requirements for participation and timelines.

    Get ready to kick off the holiday season with a healthy dose of fun at the First Annual Turkey Trot! This isn't your average race—it's a celebration of community, health, and giving back.

    

    Join your family, friends, and neighbors for a fun-filled 1-mile run, walk, or jog. No need to be a marathoner; all fitness levels are welcome! Whether you sprint like a turkey being chased or take a leisurely stroll, this event is all about getting together and enjoying the start of the holidays.

    Music Needs Your Help!

    Dear music parents, 

    Taylor has a wonderful music program thanks to teacher Amanda Negrete, who works endless days coordinating lots of moving parts and teaching the students. Every year she also relies on a dedicated group of parents who volunteer their time and efforts to help her. We are asking all Taylor music parents to help keep this volunteer group going this year.  As the saying goes, "many hands make light work."  

    

    The main goals of the music parent volunteer group is to help with fundraising and concerts. The Winter Concert is fast approaching on December 10th at Mills High School. Ms. Amanda would truly appreciate help from volunteers to help set up, sell concessions, and other tasks during the concert. Please e-mail if you're interested in helping out with the concert or other activities during the year. We also hope to find some parent leads to help with organizing volunteer events. If you're interested, let us know!
