As artists and art educators, we do our best to attend as many galleries and art exhibitions as possible. Art shows are often the first step in a longer creative journey for artists and their audience, as the bright and vibrant colours energize the mind and motivate viewers into starting a conversation about the creative process. It is precisely this type of conversation that we aim to kindle when we host our Group Art Shows at the end of each term.
Our end-of-term tradition began as a form of celebration and quickly turned into an in-depth learning experience for artists and family members alike. And this term was no exception, as we opened our doors to artists, their families, and the community at large. If you were unable to join us for our Fall Term Art Show, scroll down and enjoy a sample of photos from the event - featuring works by ArtVenture students. We hope you enjoy what you see and can't wait to welcome you to our studio in 2026!
Coming Up...
- As always, with one year wrapping up, a new year is just around the corner! We look forward to starting a new journey with you in 2026 as we continue to explore a wide range of artistic styles. Winter Term Art Classes will begin in January through to the end of March. Classes are available for school-aged kids, youth and adults and offer a range of painting, drawing and sculpting projects. We invite you to visit us online for class schedule and registration and encourage you to save a spot in the class of your choice, as classes tend to fill up quickly.
- For those interested in learning about the history of art, we are excited to welcome Art Historian Sonia Halpern back to the studio in the new year! Our next Art Smart Lecture Series will begin in January and will explore the history of criminal and deviant behaviour among select artists throughout history. Historically, artists have often lived unconventional lives that have included encounters with the law, either as perpetrators or victims. By examining the involvement of select artists in cases of sexual misconduct, violent crimes, and addictions, this illustrated 6-part weekly Lecture Series will explore how certain unfortunate events contributed to the fame and notoriety of these artists.
- Featured Art Show in January: With nearly two decades of artwork created by students at ArtVenture, we wish to honour those who have made it their weekly goal to attend classes for over ten consecutive years - through rain, shine, snow, and sleet! Recognizing their hard work and boundless dedication, we look forward to featuring a sample of their art in our gallery next month, and hope you too will join us in celebrating their commitment to creativity!
As 2025 comes to an end, ArtVenture wishes you and your family a warm, safe and healthy holiday season! The studio will be closed December 8th through to January 4th, but we continue to answer emails and phone inquiries as well as process registrations online and over the phone. In the meantime, for those interested in spreading some artistic joy this holiday season, we have Gift Cards for Winter and Spring Term Art Classes as well as Spring and Summer Art Camps. Call or email for details.
We wish you and your loved ones Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year!
