November 3, 2025 (Calgary, AB) // Back in the day, the Calgary club scene was wild. Places like Franky & Johnny’s were packed, sweaty, and filled with the sound of rock bands who really meant it. On November 22, Darcy D, who is best known for his time with Simon Kaos and Prism, - who were inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2023 - will be playing at The Official Franky & Johnny’s Reunion Party at The Arrowhead. Headed up by Franky & Johnny’s original owners, Frank and John Bitonti, the show will bring together a collection of music legends, including Chris Jericho of Kick Axe, Steve O’Donnel of Hostage, Johnny Harley of Smash LA, Todd Kerns of Age of Electric, Sherman Friesen of Witchhazel and more. Before Prism, before all the studio work, before speaking at conferences, there was Simon Kaos. From 1981 to 1987, Darcy D was the singer for this hardworking band, touring immensely and helping to shape the Canadian musical landscape. This reunion party serves as a chance for anyone who remembers the raw rock from that time to relive those days once more. |

In recent years, Darcy D has widened his reach, evolving from singer to producer, voice coach, and owner and developer of the Virtual Voice Coach app. He’s turned his passion for music into something bigger than just looking back. His upcoming autobiography, Theory of KAOS, set for publication through V13 Press, details his time spent performing in one of Canada’s most prolific bands and the stories and lessons that came with it. The stories in Theory of KAOS began on stages just like Franky & Johnny’s, loud, earnest and real. On November 22, those songs and stories will come to life again, not as a nostalgia trip, but rather a tribute to the staying power that still refuses to fade away. It’s the same drive behind Darcy D’s Industry Insider series on V13 Media, where he continues to give musicians, producers, and industry veterans a platform to share the stories that shaped them. |

About Darcy D: The culmination of 30 years of experience in the music business is the driving force behind Darcy D. This Canadian-born musician, Singer, Songwriter, Recording Artist, Producer & conference speaker is the owner of Darcy D Music Group. First & foremost, Darcy is a singer. Getting his start fronting the touring club band, "Simon Kaos" from 1981-1987. He shared Gold record success with Juno award-winning Canadian recording artists Prism from 1987-2004. His recorded efforts, ranging from Rock to Jazz standards, have been released worldwide. In addition to performing on the globe, Darcy was a tour manager for Nettwerk Management (Vancouver) and company manager for the production "Red Rock Diner". Darcy was nominated for a BCCMA producer of the year award - 2012. With the study of voice being his main focus, he dedicated 7 years studying & teaching the SLS method. Has been a member of the "International Voice Teachers of Mix" since 2011. Held a seat on the board for LA-based "Vocology in Practice" 2014-2017. Currently, Darcy is a content consultant and presenter for SINGEO, a Musora Media online education company. Darcy works with clients virtually, around the world, building better voices and assisting with music career development. Darcy's experiences both on & off the stage, when combined with the associations he's built, become a qualified recipe for success, and one of the reasons he founded the popular voice coach app, Virtual Voice Coach. |
