Celebrating Graduation: Women in Digital Business ToT Cohort 2

A big congratulations to the 22 certified trainers who graduated from the Women in Digital Business Training of Trainers (WIDB-ToT) Cohort 2, implemented in partnership with the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITC-ILO) and Microsoft Philanthropies.



These trainers are now equipped to empower thousands of women entrepreneurs with digital skills, unlocking opportunities to sell online, build their presence, and scale sustainably. Their certification symbolizes growth not just for individuals, but for communities and the ecosystem at large.



The graduation ceremony was graced by a powerful panel discussion: Women Leading in the Digital Economy, which focused on collaboration, scaling training, and unlocking opportunities. The panel featured:

• Carolyne Omanga – Head of Sales, Women Banking, Stanbic Bank K Ltd
• Melissa Mwiti – Women Creating Wealth Program Coordinator, Kenya – Graca Machel Trust 
• Beatrice Gathee – Manager, Women Banking & Product Lead, Micro & Agribusiness, Kingdom Bank
• Benson Odiwuor – Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Associate at TripleOkLaw Advocates

We were also honored to have Violette Wambua, CEO & Founder of Networking in Heels Africa, as the Guest Speaker, who shared inspiring insights on women’s leadership in the digital space.

We celebrate each graduate, our incredible facilitator Mercy Okoth, our lead trainers Edna Onyach and Otieno Paul Peter and support agent Cecilia Akeyo who made this possible.
