Conserving our Heritage

Protecting our Future

Dear {$firstname},

Welcome to the October 2025 Newsletter. Autumn leaves, membership, town clean up, artistic poetry, birds and walking...

Membership Reminder

Many of you pay your subscription by Standing Order with the due date for these

being the 1st November 2025.

These subscriptions are now due for renewal.

At the AGM you were informed that the price of subscription will increase to £10

per annum to cover the rising costs of events and magazine production. It is still

an amazing, good value price!

Could you all please update your Standing Order to reflect this increase.

I have just done so through my banking app on my phone and it was very easy.

There are some of our members who pay by Bank Transfer or through PayPal.

Could you please check your payment date and make a note when your

subscription is due. There are too many of you with different dates for me to check

up on myself.

Life Members: you paid an initial amount when you joined – originally it was £5.

Would you please consider making a donation to the society each year to help

pay the costs of providing the quarterly magazine, talks and other events?

If you no longer wish to be a member of the society, please let me know through

the Website contact - [email protected]

The public's views are being sought to help identify the issues that are important to them in a series of consultation events planned as part of the preparation work on the proposed new Neighbourhood Plan for Romsey. The first event was held in Woodley Hall on Sunday 14th September. Further events are planned on Tuesday 7th October 2.00pm - 7.00pm in the Town Hall, Market Place, Saturday 1st November 10.00am - 4.00pm in Abbotswood Community Hall and Saturday 22nd November 10.00am - 4.00pm in the Crosfield Hall Annex. The sessions are a chance for local residents to share ideas and priorities for the future of the town, to ensure the plan reflects what people want in their local area.
