Fun League Aug 26th Results

What a way to finish the 2nd Half! It wasn't settled on Tue for one of the teams couldn't play until Fri morning. When they did, the score resulted in a tie for the 2nd Half title. Just like the first half. Can't make this stuff up! With it being head-to-head matchup among the top two teams, a two-point victory means Dan W & Tom M are our 2nd Half Champs! Congrats Gentlemen.

Our championship matchup will be Team #13 - Bob L & Mike B vs Team #5 - Dan W & Tom M. Good luck to both teams.

Aug 26th Notes

Best Net Score: Jeremy H

Notable Hole Scores

- Doug S - Birdie on Hole 4 & 9
- Clayton L - Birdie on Hole 5 & 8

Mulligan Fund

$62 - Pizza was had this past week and enjoyed by all. We ended up with a 7 pizzas for the price of 6 deal, so saved some money. Also, there was a benefactor who donated some extra money. Most of this will be put towards prizes this week and if there is some left over, we'll start next season ahead.

Sept 2nd Scramble Info

2-Person Scramble - Best Ball - Back 9

  1. 2-Person teams - You can select any league member (regular or sub) as your partner
  2. $5 per person entry fee (pay in the pub after)
  3. The group handicap will be your total handicaps divided by 4, rounded to the nearest number.
  4. 3-Person Team - With this being the Fun League a team of 3 is permitted if the additional golfer would otherwise not have a partner, is your regular sub, or you have a 3-person team. The group handicap will be the total of the three golfers divided by 8.
  5. We will pay out a % of the total event entry fee for low net scores based on the number of golfers. Some money may be held back for prizes.
  6. One group mulligan is permitted. Each golfer pays $1 for it.

Hole prizes will be awarded - the first group may need to take out the markers. Inquire in the pro shop before heading out.

  • Hole #12 closest to the pin - 1st shot
  • Hole #14 longest drive in fairway
  • Hole #17 longest putt on green

All prizes and winnings will be calculated and awarded in the 3-Putt Pub after golf. If you would rather just play a practice round with your full set of clubs, and skip the tourney, that’s OK, come on out and enjoy a round!

I will try to be in the last group out to bring back the hole markers.

End of Season

This coming week will mark the end of the 2025 Fun League season. Seems like is just started. I will try to send out at least one more email with a recap of the Championship match and scramble, along with some interesting tibits for the year.

If you have any suggestions for next season, please let me know. I am always welcome feedback. Also, it would be great to have a full league of 14 teams next season. I may have one new team already interested.
