The day of my solar return is nigh, so I would like to personally invite you to join me to celebrate a week from now at Covert Café (the evening of Friday, August 29th), where I will take the stage with the beguiling folk pop stylings of Bronwen Roberts, the sweet and savory harmonies of Sister Sigh, and the soulfully spooky Etta & The Ghost. It is a free show, though purchase of food and libations 🍻 is strongly encouraged.
While it would be very meaningful to me if you would make the effort to join us in person, if you live in another state, or just happen to get to the end of your week feeling like it's more of a pajama pants sort of evening for you, you can still enjoy our performances by subscribing to the Covert Café YouTube channel, where the event will be live-streamed.
In the meantime, today is also the eve of Garden Party, happening at the Rose Garden Amphitheater in Washington Park! If you're planning on joining the pandemonium, the weather is forecasted to be Very Hot Indeed, but should be cooling off by the time we're set to kick off, and the TriMet Fan Van will be in service with water and frozen treats. Nevertheless, it is strongly advised to accessorize your quirky celebratory threads with a parasol or a sun hat.
