August 11, 2025 (Almonte, ON) - Hot on the heels of the release of his debut album SECOND CHANCE MUSIC, Canadian singer-songwriter Kentucky (Jordan Holman) returns with “Second Hand Love”, a live single recorded during the final night of his Album Preview Tour. Captured by acclaimed engineer Ken Friesen (The Tragically Hip, Blue Rodeo), the performance remains untouched with no overdubs, no edits, no safety nets. It’s an intimate, slow-burning piece that feels more like a quiet confession than a song. You can almost hear the room breathing with him.

The track is accompanied by a fan-shot video in soft purples and honeyed gold. It’s grainy, slightly off-center, but entirely right for the tone. The camera doesn’t wander. It holds, quietly, while Kentucky sings from a small stage adorned with cables and amps. There’s nothing glossy here, just a performance as it happened, beautiful, hesitant, and brave.

The live album from which this single is drawn came as a surprise even to Kentucky himself. A moment captured, then left alone. The kind of recording that reminds you how raw a show can be when the only goal is to mean every word.

“Second Hand Love” expands the emotional palette of SECOND CHANCE MUSIC, deepening its arc without demanding more. There’s no pitch to make here. Just a song sung like it had to be. And sometimes, that’s the most powerful kind.

About Kentucky

Kentucky, the musical project of Canadian artist Jordan Holman, is emerging like a quiet signal cutting through late-night static. His songs—a quicksilver blend of acoustic rock, indie folk, and subtle ’90s alternative glow—carry stories shaped by extremes: from near-death hushes to the hard-won hope of second chances. Influences like The Tragically Hip, Bryan Adams, Neil Young, and R.E.M. whisper in his ear, but it’s Holman’s own voice—an unwavering tenor wrapped around each thoughtful chord—that draws listeners closer. Having performed over 100 times across Ontario, Quebec, and his birthplace of Edmonton, Alberta, Kentucky’s music takes on a living presence in these spaces, forging connections at once both intimate and universal. His forthcoming debut album, Second Chance Music, distills this experience into a testament of resilience and renewal, and reminds us that sometimes a song is all it takes to guide us back to the light.
