| In the heady days at the end of 2021, start of 2022, when it seemed life might finally return to normal, we had a Back to Reality NYE party, and Bridget and her housemate came as Paris and Nicole from The Simple Life. Anthony and mates just came as friends of the DJ ;). As Bridget recalls: "We didn’t know anyone, but their table looked fun, so we invited ourselves to join. Anthony and I hit it off instantly with lots of banter and a few NYE kisses. We exchanged numbers and talked on the phone for hours during COVID isolation, and I definitely fell for his voice. Our first official date ended up lasting three days, the rest is history, and we’re getting married this October! Thanks COVID, and thank you Littlefoot!!" |

| The story of the Footscray neon sign |
|
Our iconic Footscray neon has an impressive pedigree, having been made by the sons of the man who made the Skipping Girl sign! Designed by Littlefoot’s co-owner Liana, the sign was installed in our lounge area by the Coles bros in 2018, and has starred in a million photographs since. It’s real neon made traditionally from hand-formed glass filled with gas, which gives it that incredible unique glow. Real neon isn’t hot to the touch or dangerous, but the glass is delicate, so don't get too close! While plastic faux neon is more physically durable, it also has a much shorter life span. Real neon is better for the environment and will last forever if cared for.

| This unique and beloved Littlefoot cocktail quickly became a house favourite after it was created 4+ years ago. For our first newsletter we’re sharing the recipe with you (although we had to at least keep the superb tangy rhubarb syrup recipe up our sleeve!) • 60ml Dry Gin
• 30ml Rhubarb syrup
• 20ml Fresh lemon juice
• 10ml Apple juice
• 1 egg white Shaken until frothy and chilled, garnished with dried rose petals.

Chef Sergio's Carbonara is proudly made the traditional way with egg, guanciale, pecorino, and parmesan, and has become a solid favourite with staff and customers alike. And although it's deliciously "creamy" there's not a skerrick of cream in it!

A customer once didn't believe us and declared it must have cream, but there's no way we could do that because Liana's dad would basically disown us - or give us one of those communicative Italian gestures that need no translation ;) |
