AEG President and Founder Don Chen Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Hainan Foreign Language Vocational College

AEG is pleased to announce a new international partnership following the signing of an Agreement of Cooperation between Mr Don Chen, President and Founder of AEG, and Mr. Xuebin Huang, President of the Hainan Foreign Language Vocational College. The agreement, signed during Mr Chen’s recent visit to Hainan, marks the beginning of a collaborative relationship centered on academic exchange, pathway programs, and joint initiatives in global education. It reflects both institutions' shared commitment to fostering international learning opportunities and enhancing student mobility between Australia and China.

Hainan Foreign Language Vocational College is renowned for its focus on language and business education and for cultivating graduates with strong global competencies. Through this partnership, AEG aims to expand access to high-quality Australian education offerings, including potential articulation into programs delivered by AEG’s Adelaide Institute of Higher Education (AIHE) and the Adelaide Institute of Business and Technology (AIBT) at both of AEG's Adelaide and Melbourne campuses. This partnership reinforces AEG’s strategic vision on internationalisation, industry engagement, and building enduring global networks.

Celebrating Excellence: AIHE CEO and Concurrent AEG Head of Advancement Honoured with 2025 Achiever of the Year in Career Award

We proudly extend our warmest congratulations to Ms. Fatima Reyes, our AIHE Chief Executive Officer and concurrent Head of Advancement at AEG for being awarded the 2025 Achiever of the Year in Career by the Filipino Settlement Coordinating Council of South Australia (FSCCSA).

This prestigious recognition was presented during the commemoration of the 127th Philippine Independence Day, an event that brought together South Australia’s vibrant Filipino community to celebrate heritage, resilience, and excellence. FSCCSA, South Australia's peak umbrella body of Filipino organisations, bestows the Achiever of the Year awards to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional professional accomplishments and contributed meaningfully to the Filipino-Australian community.

The award celebrates our CEO's inspiring leadership in higher education, remarkable career journey across multiple sectors, and unwavering commitment to fostering international education and cross-cultural understanding. It is also a proud reflection of the impact and visibility of Filipino professionals in South Australia, which is home to more than 20,000 people of Filipino ancestry.

We applaud this well-deserved recognition and are honoured to have such a passionate and visionary leader at the helm of AIHE and AEG. Her achievements continue to inspire students, staff, and the broader community, both here in Australia and in the Philippines.

Student Testimonials

"I chose to study Certificate III in Individual Support at AIBT because I grew up surrounded by my grandparents, and they played a big role in raising us with love, care, and wisdom. Because of them, I learned the value of respect and compassion for the elderly. I’ve always wanted to give back the same love and support they gave us, not just to them but to other elderly people who may not have family around.

The trainers and support staff at AIBT were very supportive and approachable. They made the lessons easy to understand and were always ready to help whenever we had questions. Their guidance gave me the confidence to keep going and do my best.

During my work placement, I had the chance to apply everything I learned. I cared for elderly clients, listened to their stories, and helped them with daily tasks. It reminded me so much of being with my own grandparents. Every day felt meaningful, and I knew I was in the right place.

That experience prepared me well for my current job as a support worker. I now help people with disabilities, not just the elderly in an aged care facility, and I always make sure they feel respected, safe, and cared for—just like how I would treat my own lola and other people who need comfort and care.

To anyone thinking about taking this course, I would say it’s a beautiful journey. If you grew up loving your grandparents like I did, this is your chance to turn that love into a career where you can truly make a difference in someone’s life. Additionally, this will provide you with opportunities not just in aged care, but also in other sectors, such as supporting people with disabilities."

— Mary Jansen Encinares (Certificate III in Individual Support, 2025)

"I completed my Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) here, and it was a great experience. The trainers were supportive and made learning practical and easy to understand. The hands-on placement helped me build confidence and skills in real aged care settings. After finishing the course, I started working in aged care and felt well-prepared. I recommend this course to anyone wanting to start a rewarding career in this field."

— Ghie Baltazar (Certificate III in Individual Support, 2025)
