    Design & Deconstruct Workshop

    This workshop is aimed at people who want to further their skills in setting, assessment and providing feedback on the D&D + practical report task. It also will cover the writing and marking of practical questions for tests and exams as well. There will be time to examine your own student work and participate in some cross-moderation and marking of work/drafts.

    SACOME STEM Digital Technology Program

    SACOME’s whole-school digital technologies program spans Reception to Year 10, featuring eight online modules in Automation and Data Science. Co-designed with industry experts, it offers hands-on activities aligned with the Australian Curriculum.     Physics Skills Enhancement Microcredential Course

    Flinders University is running a Physics Skills Enhancement Microcredential course for teachers. The course is open to everyone with or without a physics background.

    

    For the next intake, starting 25 August 2025, STEM Enrichment Academy is delighted to offer 35 fee waiver places to registered teachers. The course is online with only two days of in-person attendance. Travel and accommodation allowances for interstate or remotely located regional schoolteachers will be provided.

    Day of AI - Free Classroom Program

    Introduce your Years 1–10 students to artificial intelligence through the Day of AI Australia 2025 program—a free, full-day teaching initiative designed to spark curiosity and build essential digital skills. Delivered flexibly throughout 2025, the program offers curriculum-aligned, hands-on activities exploring how AI works, its real-world applications, and ethical considerations. No prior experience is required; all teaching materials, educator guides, and training are provided at no cost. Schools need only internet access and one laptop per two students.

    Mushrooms in Schools Program

    The Australian Mushroom Growers Association invites Year 3 and 4 teachers to register for the 2025 Mushrooms in Schools program. Participating classes will receive:

    • Free mushroom growing kits (delivered in the first week of Term 3)

    • 10 curriculum-aligned lesson plans covering science, nutrition, and sustainability

    • Student resources, including manuals, recipes, and certificates

    The program promotes hands-on learning as students cultivate, harvest, and cook mushrooms, observing their rapid growth—doubling in size daily. Kits are compact, requiring minimal space and only a spray bottle for maintenance.

    Students Launch Experiments into Space with SpaceX!

    In just 21 days, student-designed experiments from Adelaide—and across 7 countries—will launch aboard a SpaceX rocket! This incredible initiative gives high school students real-world experience in space science, with experiments in radiation and communication now aboard an actual satellite, ready for orbit.

    

    The project showcases the power of international collaboration and hands-on learning to spark curiosity and scientific thinking. It’s a milestone moment for these students—and a reminder of what’s possible when education reaches for the stars. Read more about the mission.
