Conserving our Heritage

Protecting our Future

Dear {$firstname},

Welcome to the July 2025 Newsletter.  This month's newsletter is shorter than usual as I am writing somewhere in the middle of France, at an altitude higher than Mount Snowdon and unseasonably high temperature of 39 oC (the average in this area for this time of year is 19 oC). I will be making sure I am back in time for our unmissable annual lecture on 25th July, however.

Annual Lecture -

“Investing in our past to protect our future: a review of heritage policy in England”

Friday 25th July, 19:30

Romsey Town Hall

We are very lucky to have secured Ian Morrison, OBE, Director of Policy and Evidence at Historic England, who will be talking about his experiences and English heritage policy as it affects Romsey and District.

The lecture is free but it is necessary to book so that we can guarantee seating. To book your places, click HERE

Simon has written The Otters’ Tale about the family of otters living in the Wallop Brook by his water mill at Nether Wallop as well as Life of a Chalk Stream.

As this is likely to be a popular talk and places are limited, please book your seat by contacting Kate Allen at [email protected] with the name(s) of attendees.

To get involved in what we do or if you have ideas for activities you think we should be organising or that you would like to take part in, please contact our secretary using the email address below.
