Author Talk:

Want to Reinvent Yourself?

Inspirational Stories Teach Us How

Talk by Dr. Ronald Baecker

based on his new book,

Reinvention: Meaningful Ventures in Later Life

The essential guide for individuals seeking a new direction for their next act.

Image description

Life after retirement is envisioned as a time for leisure, joy with grandchildren, travel, and hobbies, yet many find that this is not enough and seek to reinvent themselves in a compelling new direction.  It can also happen sooner, driven by work dissatisfaction, a layoff, bankruptcy, illness, emigration, or pursuing a long-nurtured dream of a new vocation or avocation.  51% of retirees live on less than 50% of pre-retirement income.  Nearly half will run out of money if they retire at 65. 41% of employees report stress at work.  45% of professionals are considering leaving their jobs.
