National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC)

NLSC will be held EARLY THIS YEAR due to the FIFA World Cup which takes over the city in mid-to-late June. As such, the deadlines are also earlier this year. We plan to have the registration information posted on the website prior to the State Conference, so you can budget and talk to your students early.

Regional Coordinator/Program Assistant

SkillsUSA Michigan is seeking a part-time Regional Coordinator/Program Assistant. They will provide support to the regional coordinators, assist the State Director and other state staff, and contribute to planning of conferences.

State Director

SkillsUSA Michigan is seeking a State Director who will be responsible for cultivating and executing SkillsUSA Michigan’s programs and conferences, interested in student career development, and has strong experience in project management and corporate development. The Director will be a thoughtful and innovative leader who will provide a forward-thinking approach to SkillsUSA Michigan with an entrepreneurial mindset and experience leveraging the power of networks and relationships. The Director will be responsible for building partnerships to increase student participation. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for SkillsUSA and be a highly motivated and collaborative leader of high integrity.

Save the Date for ELEVATE!

The SkillsUSA Elevate Chapter Officer Development Conference is Wednesday, Oct. 8 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET. This virtual interactive experience for local chapter officer teams focuses on building successful chapters by equipping officers with the skills to lead and serve their local members. Elevate is open to all SkillsUSA local chapter officers and an advisor must participate with each registered team. Participate right in your classroom, and the cost is only $50 per chapter. Download the Elevate flyer to share with your chapter officers. Register no later than Oct. 3 by visiting skillsusa.register.org.



New Platform

SkillsUSA and Pathful have partnered to bring a comprehensive work-based learning platform to SkillsUSA’s more than 444,000 members nationwide. The collaboration combines SkillsUSA’s industry-recognized framework with Pathful’s work-based learning and career readiness development technology to connect students directly with careers and professionals in skilled trades and technical careers.



The new SkillsUSA Pathful platform provides members with immediate access to virtual job shadows, industry-led projects, career exploration and development tools geared toward career and technical education students. This marks the first time SkillsUSA members will have unified access to such comprehensive career readiness resources through a single platform.

The platform is available to all SkillsUSA members registered for the 2025-26 academic year at skillsusa.pathful.com. Members can log in using their existing SkillsUSA credentials to begin exploring careers.  Customer Care can assist you to get you logged in; their contact details are at the bottom of the Pathful webpage.
