POWER MONDAY

Every Monday, we bring you empowering conversations to kickstart your week swiftly. This week, we had the pleasure of hosting Edna Onyach, CEO and Co-Founder of Live Your Dream Enterprises, for an engaging session titled “Pitching Your Business Idea: The Dos, Don’ts, and Best Practices.”

With over 85 participants from different regions joining in, the interactive discussion not only provided practical guidance but also created a dynamic platform for shared learning. Edna shared valuable insights on what makes a pitch resonate: the importance of clearly highlighting your value proposition, preparing thoroughly and thoughtfully, crafting a compelling hook grounded in research, and always having a clear, specific ask.

WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UPTO

Impacting 50+ MSMEs in Homa bay & Nyamira Counties

We successfully hosted the Cross-Border Trade and e-Commerce capacity Building training that impacted 50+ Entrepreneurs in Homa Bay and Nyamira Counties. The Training, enhanced MSMEs’ understanding of e-commerce fundamentals, cross-border logistics, and e-payment solutions.

As an organization committed to the growth and sustainability of entrepreneurs, we hosted online mentorship and coaching sessions to support MSMEs develop and implement tailored digital trade strategies, navigate digital compliance and market intelligence tools - with dedicated Q&A sessions to address their specific challenges.

The knowledge gained will directly inform how I scale my services regionally. Seamless East Africa 2025

On the 2nd and 3rd of July 2025 , Live Your Dream Enterprises Ltd proudly took part in the Seamless Summit. Our CEO and Co-Founder, Edna Onyach, led the conversation on Digital Commerce, Retail & E-commerce: The Digital Marketplace, alongside industry leaders like Vinod Goel, CEO - Jumia Group; Victoria Karanja, General Manager - L'Oréal; and Karanja Ndegwa, CEO - Jambo Jet.

This summit offered us an incredible platform to share what drives us. We were also able to share on our unique programs that equips MSMEs with skills that they can apply to their business, namely Women in Digital Business (WIDB) and Cross-Border Trade, Market Intelligence and E-commerce which enables market expansion and revenue growth.

The Launch of Women in Digital Business ToT Cohort 2

The Women In Digital Business Training of Trainers (WIDB-ToT) is on! This transformative program, in partnership with the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITC-ILO) and Microsoft Philanthropies, is crafted to empower women entrepreneurs with essential digital skills to harness technology for sustainable business growth.

Throughout the training, participants will explore practical modules on building an online presence, selling online, leveraging website technology, e-commerce tools, adult leaning principles and gender sensitive training. Besides being equipped to empower other women in enhancing their digital presence, the trainers will unlock resources such as an e-learning platform, credibility, additional revenue streams and strategic partnerships.

This follows the inaugural cohort where 10 trainers were certified in March 2025.

The Live Your Dream -Women in Business (LYD-WIB), a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, is a platform fostering peer support, accountability , networking and continuous learning among women-led entrepreneurs as they unlock real solutions for their unique challenges.

Initiated in 2023, by LYD, post the Absa Bank Ltd SHE Star-BIG Sister sponsored program, the initiatives have included meaningful networking events through fun activities like ‘The Business Game’, Brunches, International Women’s Day (IWD) celebrations, Member Expert Webinars, Mentorship and Book Reading/Discussions.
