Cambridge News: AIS to Launch

A-Level Course in July

We are thrilled to announce that AIS will launch the A-Level course in July, making us the first A-Level school in South Australia and one of the first in Australia. This marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing world-class education and expanding academic opportunities for our students.

Our journey with the Cambridge curriculum has already seen great success. Last year, we successfully hosted more than 20 Cambridge exams, including supervising private candidates, demonstrating our strong capability in delivering internationally recognized assessments. The success of our IGCSE program has further reinforced our dedication to academic excellence, and we are excited to extend this by offering A-Level studies.

A-Level qualifications are globally respected for their academic rigor and university preparation. At AIS, we offer a range of A-Level subjects to cater to students' future career aspirations, ensuring they have the flexibility to pursue their passions. This pathway provides students with excellent opportunities to gain entry into both local and international universities, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for success in higher education and beyond.

As we continue to grow as a Cambridge school, we look forward to welcoming our first A-Level cohort and supporting our students in reaching their full potential.

Queen Mangkubumi of Yogyakarta

The students at the Adelaide International School (AIS) had the honour of welcoming Queen Mangkubumi of Yogyakarta to their weekly assembly. Led by School Captains John and Bianca, the students shared their personal experience in Australia, reflecting on how their initial expectations compared to their actual experiences. Latasha, a talented Sri Lankan student from AIS, then captivated the audience with a beautiful cultural dance, dressed in traditional attire. The students were fully engaged, especially when Queen Mangkubumi spoke about her passion for conservation and education. The assembly concluded with Charity Leader Ching presenting the Queen with an AIS Teddy Bear, a cherished symbol of student achievement at AIS.
