Maria Papaioannoy joins us as our second #GFN25 keynote speaker!

Cutting through the noise to deliver factually accurate information about safer nicotine products is a constant struggle, one that consumers know all too well. The lessons learned from years of advocacy are invaluable to everyone in the THR movement. So it is our great privilege to announce that the third keynote of #GFN25 will be given by renowned Canadian consumer advocate Maria Papaioannoy!

Maria’s keynote is titled ‘What I Hear vs. What I Know: Battling Misinformation from the Newsroom to the Facebook Comment Section’. It will serve as a real-world how-to guide, drawn from the lived experience of consumer advocates and giving you the best tools to counter vaping and THR misinformation.

As the founder of the largest consumer advocacy movement in Canada, Rights 4 Vapers, Maria has been at the heart of Canadian opposition against restrictive policies. Having organised one of the largest consumer-led advocacy efforts in Canada’s recent history, Maria Papaioannoy will share her wealth of experience dealing with regulators and the opposition to THR. Maria blew us away with her debut appearance at #GFN24 so we’re very excited for her keynote at #GFN25 live in Warsaw in June!
