GFN25 may be June’s can’t-miss event, but the excitement doesn’t stop at the conference hall doors. As many of you know, Warsaw is full of delights, and well worth exploring in the summer sun. So if you’re booking your flights, read on for some very tempting reasons to come to Warsaw early!

The “Capital of Free Time”, Warsaw has a reputation as a superb city break. Dozens of Warsaw’s best museums, including the Royal Castle and the Fryderyk Chopin Museum, offer free entry on a rotating basis and Warsaw’s Museum of Modern Art has recently opened in its new home just a 10 minute walk from the conference centre! Fans of Justin Timberlake, AWOLNATION and Alanis Morissette (amongst others) will have their pick of concerts in Warsaw during GFN25, though you’ll have to skip the support acts for Alanis/AWOLNATION as you’ll need to be seen at the GFN25 party first…

If you fancy making GFN25 into a full-on getaway, you’ll be delighted to hear that our exclusive accommodation discount is valid from Monday 16th June until Sunday 22nd June. These discounted accommodation rates are only available until 15 May so book soon!

Register for #GFN25 today!

On Wednesday 18 June, the day before GFN25 opens, the registration desk will be open, so you can beat the crowds to get your badges before the rush. With a more relaxed schedule than the following conference days, it’s a good opportunity to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. As a GFN attendee, you can also choose to attend a selection of satellite events taking place at the Presidential Hotel.

The Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) is hosting 'Good COP Bad COP'. The previous TPA ‘Good COP Bad COP’ provided a platform for experts in tobacco harm reduction to respond, fact-check and address issues that arose at COP10. At GFN25, facilitated by the TPA's Martin Cullip, this satellite session will take a look back at what happened in Panama and consider what's coming up as the countdown begins to COP11 in Geneva, taking place from 17 - 22 November this year.

And Knowledge·Action·Change (K·A·C) will be hosting two Global State of Tobacco Harm Reduction (GSTHR) Roadshow events exploring THR in Latin America and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA). The Latin America event, organized and led by Tobacco Harm Reduction Scholarships graduate Jeffrey Zamora, will bring speakers from the region together for a discussion on legislative and regulatory developments, consumer advocacy, and communications efforts. The EECA event will be hosted by Tatsiana Pikirenia, K·A·C’s Scoping, Engagement, and Resource Development Consultant. This Roadshow event will look at the current state of nicotine use in the region, providing speakers from across the EECA the chance to meet and discuss opportunities for public health progress. The fourth biennial GSTHR report, with specific sub-sections on Latin America and EECA, was published by K·A·C in November 2024.

Everyone who has registered for the in-person #GFN25 conference is welcome at these satellite events, so we hope to see you there! We've now published many more session titles, names and faces to the programme over on the GFN website - we think the event is shaping up to be the best one yet.
