| Our AGM was held in February at which we highlighted the amazing number of activities the society was in involved in over the past year. Unfortunately there were no nominations for Chairman which leaves the society with a significant hole as Viv Messenger's two year stint has come to an end. If you know of anyone who can assist, please contact the Secretary as a matter of urgency. |
Viv was thanked for her tireless work over the past two years - she has been the driving force of our activities. Chris Esplin-Jones and John Broughall stepped down after many years of service on our Executive Committee. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude for their work for the society and Romsey town. We welcomed Anna Duignan to the Executive Committee. More about all this in the next magazine. |
After many, many years with the subscription rate of £7, it has been decided to raise it to £10. We are also working to improve and automate our membership systems. It is hoped this will ease the workload for our reduced number of volunteers. |

| Another chance to hear the "Return of the Peregrine" talk |
We do not usually publicise the events of other organisations, however, following the success of our free talk by Keith Betton on the Romsey peregrine project, we thought those who missed it may be interested in his repeat performance for the Hampshire and IOW Wildlife Trust this month. His talk to us in February was so popular that we had a 20 person waiting list. |

| About 20 years ago, the Romsey and District Society played a major role in establishing 14 blue plaques celebrating some of our historic buildings which had survived the demolitions of the 1960's and 70's. How many have you walked past recently? Can you spy this one: |

How many others can you spy this month? |
