He offers stories and lessons on how to heroically deal with pain like the Saints did, so young people can use suffering as a catalyst for growth instead of being crushed by it. Lois Azessie is an incredible man of faith and service. After immigrating to the U.S. from Cameroon to escape violence in his homeland, Lois has become a vital part of our community. He is a devoted Catholic who volunteers countless hours helping our refugee population attend Mass at the Cathedral, all while rebuilding his life in a new country. Recently, Lois underwent surgery to remove kidney stones, a procedure that finally brought him relief after years of suffering. While his insurance covered 80% of the cost, he is left with a $4,000 medical bill. Now, Lois needs our help. Let’s come together as a community to support someone who has given so much to others.
